In order to meet the needs of our learners, we first need to understand all the expertise and then build interactive learning resources. For example, our topic is teaching people how to use critical thinking and apply it to their learning lives. Create forums or answer questions to train learners. But in learning, learners get confused about various questions about critical thinking, so as an interactive learning resource, we want to address and answer these questions in an appropriate way. So we have to anticipate this part of the questions in order to better prepare the learning resource. We also have to build a platform in the interactive learning resource, for example in the form of posting, so that learners can better communicate with us.
Also in the process of building interactive learning resources, we have to understand the various types of learners. For example, when our school updated the features and pages of my page, I wasn’t able to find the features I wanted in time. So for interactive learning resources, this aspect is more important. Not everyone understands how to use interactive learning resources right away, so an introduction and guidance on how to use them I think should be necessary. Removing these barriers will better help learners get into learning mode.
One other point about the impact of special circumstances on learners, which I immediately associate with our current situation, is that face-to-face courses have been converted to online courses because of the epidemic. I’d like to share my thoughts on this point. For learners, we are not sure what time zone they are in, and I would prefer to make learning time flexible, for example through assignments and videos, so that learners can plan their time better than a fixed time. Feedback on learner outcomes is also particularly important, and we plan to keep track of learners’ progress through regular questioning.
